You see a lot of posts about gear and going down and so forth. Im curious about peoples accidents and learning experiences. Post up pics of bike related injuries and a quick background story about what happened.

I got my leathers for christmas 07. My boots showed up jan 08 on my door step at 1030 at night. Its in Georgia, its like 30 degrees outside but of course, I got a new toy so it must me tried. So I get suited up, take the bike (05 CBR600RR) out of my complex to a nice 90 degree turn. I hit it 3 times before I decided it was too cold. So on the 4th run, on my way home, I get into doing between 75-80, on cold tires mind you, my knee is down, the rear started to slide, inexperience told me to slow down....as soon as I did, the back tire caught and flung me off the high side. I landed on my head and shoulder from about 10' and this is the result.... (doc said if I hadnt had leathers or a helmet on, Id have been dead. The 7 pieces my shoulder got shattered into had one piece pushing on my carotid, so thank God for leathers)

Something like that. lol. I didnt know that was there. I just posted in that one too though. And like I said, thats more injuries in general where as Im curious about motorcycle related accidents. Some of the stuff in that thread is rough!:eek:

Yea collar bone, Shoulder blade, five ribs in six places and little bruise on my lung. **** YEA it hurt:mad:

Oh and this is before surgery but after the drug cocktail and then the after surgery while on con leave and doped up pic.

As above, sitting here with shoulder that has one plate and 8 screws holding it together , had the same accident, started having the rear slide then sat up the bike and it just launched me into a brush with a big wall beside it hoping that i might be getting the plate out in march as it is bloody sore.

I had a putty platt operation done on the same shoulder about 20 years ago after another bike accident so it looks like spagetti junction on the right side.

Like the pictures how did you manage to get them in the hospital will not do that here

Not sure if I posted these on here or not but this is what happens when a dumb college chick runs a red light and you tbone her. This is my 87CBR1000F Hurricane. Police report said I was doing in excess of 70... Last I remember was clicking into 4th at about 115 looking back at my buddy on his new 99 900RR and when I turned my head back..... wham right into the side of a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT Eddie bauer edition. Bike hit dead center between the two doors. broke the cross member caved in the frame of the truck 3 and a half feet. Luckily no one was inside but the driver or I would have probably killed them. I came off the bike, speared the side of the truck left a nice big mark split my helmet, face shield popped off and ended in the trunk. The report says I flipped 180 degrees went about 12ft in the air and 40 feet straight back and landed on my head. I remember the second before impact and I remember rolling around on the ground in pain cuz my nutz crushed the gas tank and I tore my right groin. I got up (missing my shoes) fumbled around with my helmet finally realizing with my gloves on I couldnt take it off so I threw them off, got my helmet off went over to the bike and tried picking it up. Next thing I remember from there was fighting with the cop who was trying to get me to calm down. Report says I was very violent and verbally abusive and also assaulted the cop after he put his hand on my shoulder to calm me. I refused to let the EMT's cut off my clothes, I got a shot in the shoulder and next thing I knew I was butt ass naked on a back board with a neck brace on being loaded into the ambulance. In the back I remember them trying to put an IV in my hand cuz it hurt like hell they vein kept moving so the needle was just tearing the flesh or whatevers there. I asked the EMT what happened, he said I was in a severe motorcycle accident and I asked how my bike was... he said it didnt make it... Long story short I shoulda been dead. Oh and the Ford explorer ended up being a total loss with 14,800 in damages. My injuries were torn groin, minor?? concussion and very very very sore neck and shoulders.
