timmyjimmy5150, found this mount but we can't seem to find out who makes it. Seems pretty cool, and could serve as a mount for many things. Tim is looking at mounting a rear-view camera to the triple and loose the rear view mirrors.

204

Anyone know who makes these things and if blue is the only color available? :)

fredie... :wtf: Are you actually trying to post in EVERY single thread ever started in this forum?

This one is almost 15 months old! Not to mention your post is virtually illegible.

Its quite possible you need to spend more time forming coherent sentences and less time searching for old threads to revive.

I totally agree MM, I don't even look forward to looking at the new posts anymore because everyone highlighted is a revamp of an ancient post by fredie, kinda cuts down on the time I spend on RepsolForum lately, I think maybe BK needs to step in here.,

I think BK should start to delete some of the old dead threads...anything with a 6-12 month age should be canned.

Just think if we had TX Repsol as a moderator....cra p would be cleaned up in a jiffy.:p

I don't like that idea, because most of the threads actually contribute to the site. That's the nice part about the search engine, it lets us look for older threads that may have fallen off the front pages.

It would be nice if these threads were revived with some reason though, not just random, useless posts, made just for the sake of posting.

Sorry BK - I know you said to clean it up and be nice, but I'm being nice. Seems like there's a fairly wide consensus here!

Chris (TX Repsol) is right. Just deleting a thread after 6 or 12 months is not a good idea because many old threads contain valuable information that it is good to be able to recall when needed. Not to mention, if a question gets answered and the thread is deleted, the next person with the same question will have to ask all over again and repeat the whole process for nothing when a simple search would suffice.

Old threads is not an issue, never was. What is the issue here is people that CONSISTENTLY post in very old threads JUST TO POST, and for absolutely no other reason.

Search fredie's posts. Look at how many are worthless posts in threads that have had no activity for 12 or more months. He is systematically working on posting in every thread in this forum, and its ridiculous. Some of them don't even make sense no matter how many times you read them.

Like Dave said, you log in, go to the home page and see what threads are new and half of them are old threads with a couple new words added by fredie. Why?

No need to delete old threads, or clean up the forum, just put a stop to the BS. The only thing needed here is less tolerance for blatant post whoring. :postwhore:

Actually, being gone for so long, I was wondering what the hoopla was, but after HH pm'd me a few times, then reading posts, I understand, and have to agree. I don't think deleting relevant topics will help, I refer back to them all the time. I also wouldn't mind bringing one back up if there was new info on the topic. However most of the recent posts are not like this.
Then again on the otherside, if you were not here when the thread started and then read it sometime later, a certain someone could get overly excited and just want to make a comment to express himself. Maybe we should just learn to live with our "resident corky" and move on.

Maybe I should have said "Lock the old dead threads" instead of deleting them.
I do agree that some of the old threads provide useful info and should not be disgarded...but there are a few that were made for "just the moment" and are outdated.

SO......I still say we should clean up the forum alittle...either remove old useless threads or lock em up.
