Got the HB for 2 years now....no problems BUT I heat wrapped it before putting on the repsol.
It is a well known problem but heat wrap works fine.

I have the factory exhaust. Are you saying to wrap the exhaust or the inside of the undertail? Where is next door?

Stock exhaust with HBU.
Sorry Michel, cant help you with that.
I'm pretty sure heat wrap will work...just not sure how much the exhaust is exposed with that setup.
Heat wrap is not the most beautiful stuff to look at.

I fitted the HB exhaust that gets hot and melts the plastic....wouldn't think you would need to fit this protection on the stock exhaust. It's not for sale from the company I got mine from........I know one of the guys that works there so it was a freebie.......:D
