I think it is about time that I picked out a Repsol jacket I'v been putting it off for a while because I just can't decide which one to go with.
Which jacket do you guys think looks and goes best with the 07 Repsol? And if you've seen any other jackets that I don't have listed here post them up. And if anybody has pics of a jacket with a bike or on a rider post them up so we can see how well the orange matches.

LOL...
I have narrowed my choices a little bit, I'm not to much into the textiles, I like the leather jackets better. I'm leaning toward the Joe Rocket 07' Hayden or Honda jacket but I have seen a couple of pics that make them look like the orange at the top is almost like a neon orange (pics attatched) those with the Joe Rocket jackets is this the true color or is it just camera flash or something? Do they match the orange on the bike well?

P.S. The dude in the pics is not me I'm like 20 and if I could find a jacket in a store I would not be asking these questions.

+2 for HH and the pink apron.
Swats, I went with the Duhan jacket, Ebay 05 I believe. Very nice for the
price.
Just glad to see your wising up and gettin proper gear. Anything is better
nothing. Saw a dude today on an older Kawi wearing nothing but a tee,
shorts, glasses and sandals, he waves at me, I just looked at him and pointed
at my helmet. What an idiot. Matter of fact I saw at least 25 bikes out
today. I was the only one in gloves, helmet and a jacket. People are outta
their minds around here.

Yea I wising up, the next rant I will be going on is what color gloves would look good with the Repsol jacket since mine got a little chewed up in the wreck. I'm thinking that a black pair would look good with that little black area that runs down the sleeves of the jacket or mabey the Repsol pair, then again white might look good too, though I have herd bad things about keeping these cleen.

I have these http://www.ridegear.com/images/large/icontiglvshrt.jpg , the
short version. Look fine with my jacket. You should be more worried about
comfort than "lookin good", IMO the bike stands out enough. I just buy stuff
that looks good on its own. Im not a big fan of all my gear matching
perfectly. Worry more about learning how to ride the bike(not being an ass)
than what you look like on it for now.

I love my Joe Rocket Repsol Jacket! I was going to get the Dainese but it was sold out when I got there. The Rocket has zippered vents on the sleeves and back which suprisingly keep me cool on the hottest days (when moving). The only negative with either of the above two is they do not have a wrap around zipper. The Rocket has the 8" rear zipper for the pants and I the Dainese either has the same or no zipper. Neither has matching Repsol pants.

P.S. The dude in the pics is not me I'm like 20 and if I could find a jacket in a store I would not be asking these questions.
I have a Joe Rocket that I crashed last year...and there are a couple things to be concerned about. While the leather is very supple and soft, that thing wore through very quickly at my elbow, with the armor not maintaining its position properly, causing a hole in my arm.
Secondly, if there is still a Velcro closure on the sleeve at the wrists, it doesn't hold as well as it should...and opened on my right arm...zipper then unzipped on its own, and the sleeve ended up riding up beyond my elbow. This may not have happened if the glove had a longer gauntlet...the Joe Rocket was shorter than my A* gloves, which I'm now completely loyal to.
I was on the race track and this crash occured at 100MPH, and the rest of the Joe Rocket held up well enough for that one crash, but the suit had enough damage that it will never be worn again.
I crashed my A* similarly the year before at about 70MPH on the track, and it held up much better, in fact I still wear it. The A* boots have been through both crashes and are still usable, but I will be upgrading to a completely new kit next year...probably A*.
I am not saying that the JR is bad...in fact it is beautiful, but I don't think it protects as a well as the A* based on two very similar lowsides.
The JR orange is the right color, it's the neon red that is so different from the red on our bikes...but I didn't have a problem with the colors.

I totallly agree with you although I have not been thru a crash with mine yet, I would much rather have a Dianese Repsol suit like this one http://www.biketrollhattan.se/article.php?aid=82 , but they are hard to come by here and they are very expensive $1700-2700. I wear the JR moto GP Pant & Jacket with A* smx-4 boots and A* Gloves.
JR is a very affordable line and middle of the road IMO, but can not compare to Dianese in Quality.

I can't quite go wth the full leather decor. I usually just go with jeans gloves and shirt. If it's cold then a jacket. Probably ignorance.

Yes, definitely ignorant. :p
At the minimum, get a mesh jacket for summer riding. Yeah, it's hotter than a T-shirt... but you'll be thankful the first time you ever slide down the street and are still wearing your skin when you stop.

For you young kids out there......the first thing that comes to my mind is safety. no matter how hot is out there, how sunny....i always wear my leathers. i have had to many close calls....that if i dont wear my leathers....i feel naked.
i hate to see one of you guys on the road with your bike down and you wearing t-shirt and jeans.....but some lessons are learned, the hard way.
there are times that i put on all the armor on my leather suit....that sometimes i look like a sausage (going by my twingirles comments) ....but you know what...some one said, dont care about the looks....it is all about safety. in my opinion....i just want to get back to my home in one piece.

RR....i defenetely agree with you, regarding the joe rocket. the material/leather feels thinner and more like a night out jacket. i purchased a JR jacket myself...due to the fact that it matches with the bike....my wife even said...."man, your old jacket feels stronger than this one"...coming from a woman who dont give a s!@# about bikes and safety.....
it made me wonder. since i gained about 12 lbs since i bought it...im thinking about selling it....but i was also thinking on spending some $75dllrs to reinforce it with body armor.....my tailor said it can be done, since my tailor has worked on my 1 piece leather suit, installed padds on knees, elbows, and shoulders....my suit it is somewhat heavy....but will protect me if i crash....
im still thinking on selling my jacket....but i dont know.
