So these @$$clowns in Utah are trying to pass a bill that would prohibit anything but OEM exhausts on any motorcycle in the state. I wrote my local senator and of course got blown off. I guess its time to register my bike in a different state. Anybody ever hear of anything similar in a different state?

Yeah my state.
It is illegal in South Australia to modify your bike at all.....
No FE's, no flushmount indicators, no exhausts, no tinted screens, no aftermarket ANYTHING!
(Oh, you can change your tyres when they wear out)....
I'm asking for trouble, but fark 'em!

The bad part about it is, is that drivers in the state could care less about bikers, so other than the nice bright orange on the bike, my exhaust is the only thing that helps the bad drivers around here hear/see me. I think i will just register my bike elswhere. The bikes still look good but they look so much better with all that OEM "junk" removed. But what can you do......

I dont think thats an issue in NV. but the cops get real pissy if you take off the tag holder and put it on your undertail, which also removes that ugly piece of crap "fender" or if you remove your turn signals and replace them with an integrated tail light. I checked into the Nevada Revised Statutes to see what the actual laws were.....so vague, but they give distances to be able to read the tag during daylight and night hours, and wording like as far apart as practicable for blinkers as well as distance to be seen in daylight hours. I removed all that crap made sure everything could be seen at least for the distances stated, keep a copy of the statutes in my bike and figure if they give me any more problems I'll argue it in court. My position is if a person can modify their car, then I can modify my bike. and unless their going to require "factory" exhausts or parts on all vehicles, with no aftermarket parts, then were being discriminated against.
