Why do you need the sticker? I pull those things off the second I get the helmet out of the box. :)

Well send them to me! I live on base and have to take the MSF Advance course on base and they are very strick on regulations so I need the sticker or I can't even enroll in the course with out passing proper safety gear and bike inspection!

I understand, but that makes no sense, the sticker doesn't make it DOT. Can you just bring in a printout of the helmets specifications showing that indeed it is DOT approved?

I've taken the basic and advanced course on Camp Pendleton and they never checked my helmet, second they are experienced and trained professionals right or should be, so they should know a shoie is dot and snell is a more advanced test than dot so it has surpassed dot standards, and last borrow someones helmet for the couple hours. Just dont drop it.

From what I understand Snell is a step above DOT. A helmet cannot be Snell without being DOT first. Cheap lids are almost always DOT but until you spend a little money you will not get a Snell lid.

Hmmm... actually, I can't find anywhere that says that the Shoei X-Eleven is DOT approved.
From their site:

That being said, I know they have DOT stickers on them here in the states because I removed one from the X-SP I had a few years ago.

NOt telling you to do anything illegal but if your helmet is DOT approved, take a helmet to a local sticker shop that still has the DOT sticker on it and have them make you one then place it on your lid. That should do the trick.
