2001 CBR 929 RR - $5,750 obo
I bought this bike new in January 2001. It's never been wrecked and has seen two track days, never raced. Odometer reads 40,405 miles, though correction for the drop-tooth sprocket means the actual mileage is around 36,500 miles.
Mechanically, the bike is completely stock (exhaust, engine, electronics, etc). It's got braided steel front brake lines and a radial master cylinder (from a GSXR-750) to improve front braking. Other than that, the only change to the drivetrain is a drop-tooth front sprocket.
It has a nice, clean undertail with small flush mount blinkers. Up front it has flush mount blinkers and a tinted windscreen.

The Scott's steering damper is not included in the sale - it's going on the motard!
You'll notice some scratches on the left side cover - I dropped the bike doing a u-turn one night. My wife was on back and froze when I lost my balance - she didn't put a foot down or anything, just rode it to the ground. The scratches are very minor - I can send more pictures if requested.

That's not really high miles. I have a 1995 CBR 600F3 that has 83,000 miles on it and it is in almost perfect condition and runs like a bat out of hell. One of my friends has 1989 GSXR1100 that has over 100,000 miles and runs great. I'm not saying that the bike does not have a lot of miles on it but people seem to think that a bike with miles on it means it is worn out and not worth any money. I think that a bike with some miles on it means it is ridden by someone who takes care of it instead of it sitting around collecting dust. Just my .02!

The price also seemed high to me when i first read the post but i think you have a point. i've personally met at least 2 fireblade riders that had 50kplus miles on their rides and they both claimed the bikes ran 'good as new'. also, theres no way a gixxer could have 100k on the engine if it wasnt taken care of.
Its kinda weird though when it comes to buying/selling used bikes. no one seems to follow any kind of kelley blue book for pricing. it seems to have its own intangible market value.....hmmm i guess its like classic cars in that way.

Most of those 83,000 miles were put on without even leaving the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. A lot of all night riding (going to the bike meets, street races, and just riding for any reason we could find). A lot of Thursday and Saturday bike nights of riding all night, going to Denny's or IHOP then going home , changing clothes, and going straight to work. NO SLEEP!!! Too old now, no way I could pull that off anymore.

Wow cool stuff>>>>>>>>>> it does make me feel like a squid for slowing down in the corners on a hot day when the rubber is sticky and the michellin is making perfect contact to a nice piece of asphalt that has very few cars ever on it>>>>>>>>> but hey I don't claim to be an ice rider
