I got my new blue CA tail light this week, and finally found the time to get it installed. Pretty simple to install really, I did need to add a few washers to the rear facing mounting screws to make it fit flush against the tail like the stocker. The tail light was plug and play with the stock wires, and I only had to jump in two more wires to the existing turn signal hot leads.

I was hoping that the blue was a little darker as it appeared on their site, but I think it looks pretty cool. Kinda matches the blue screen I've got up front. Even though the lens is blue, the tail definitely lights up red, and of course amber when the turn signals are initiated.
I ordered one of these to slow down the flash interval to stock the flash rate.

They replace the stock signal relay so it should be pretty simple to install. VFX Kits seems to be a pretty cool place. I was looking at their "Flash Equalizer PRO" which was over twice the cost, they recommended the new, much cheaper flasher relay. How many companies out there would talk you down from the higher price item, to a more inexpensive product? :)
I should have them in next week or so and I'll let everyone know how they work out.

+1 on the VFX flasher relay have one on my bike and it is awsome no more of those crappy resistors and on the 06 and 07 the relay is right under the top of the left side fairing just unpluged the stocker and pluged the VFX in took like 5 minuts and all 4 signals are at dot flash rate

I got the VFX Accessories Universal Flasher Relay installed, and the blinkers are make to the stock flash rate. Before then, I couldn't get the new Protons to function correctly in any of its three flash modes.
For those that don't know, the flasher relay is located at the front of the bike, just behind the plastics between the two headlights. It was actually easier than I thought to remove the front bucket, and it was nice to see that the flasher just plugged into the stock harness connector. :)
I was going to do an installation write up on it with pictures and all, but found Mad Mardigens instructions to be quite sufficient already!

BK, could you please post a picture of your bike with the blue CA taillight switched on? Or perhaps a short video clip? I'm thinking of getting this one, but I have to be sure how much "blue" is visible while riding, as the cops here are just waiting for ridiculous reasons to pull us over..
