for a full system you should be going with 1-what you like.. and 2- what you are going to get the 'most' out of

dont be sticker shocked..

a decent ti or full system is going to be in the mid to high teens (1500-1900) or more

my system was 3800
but is top of the line

Micron Serpent full Ti system. Proven gains across the board (with dyno charts to back it up). Check out Hardracing.com, they will beat anyone elses price and you are looking at around 1000 for a very good full Ti system.

Do a bit of research and you will see that you will be hard pressed to find a better full system than the Micron.

You do NOT have to spend 1500 to 1900 (or even 3800 ), if you know what to look for.

Good luck!

I was very tempted to spend $1,500+ on a top of the line exhaust system because I'm one of those people that has to buy the "best" and I am a firm believer in the "you get what you pay for" theory, most of the time.

However, like everyone says: 98% of us use these bikes on the street, for casual riding or commuting. The performance gains between a $1000 system and a $3,800 system just can't be worth it on a street bike.

If you're flying down the last long straight on the way to the finish line in a close race for the championship and that extra $2,800 to get 3.5 more horsepower gives you the edge to cross the line first, well, then it was worth it.

And for the record, my bike has 2,300 miles and still has the stock exhaust (as does my '01 929 with 41k miles). I'm still struggling with the thought of spending even $1k on an exhaust system. I'm a tight-wad!

Of all the motorcycles and dirt bikes I've owned, the only one to ever get exhaust is the 450 in my avatar... that fockers loud!

I'll change that trend and put exhaust on the Repsol... just don't know when.

That is alot of money to spend on a exhaust system unless you are racing(like TX said).... I plan on buying the jardine dual-outlet carbon this fall for my Repsol, I should be able to purchase it for about 400.00 for the slip-on, then a power commander for around 300.00....that is all I want to spend and should give me what I need out of it...but hey, if ya have that kind of money burning a hole in your pocket, why not.....just my 2 cents on the pipe subject...

i think you can go with a better system. i think if you go full, then maybe a moriwaki, jardine, hamaguchi, two brothers get you more hp. or you can do slip on plus a power comander and have more hp gain. thats my opinion tho!

If I had a couple of thousand to spend, the Arata would be where the money would go. It is an exceptional system!
