Anyone done the HID headlight upgrade/ mod on their repsol?
Was thinking of doing it on mine.....

yeah, i got'em.

6000k for low and 3500k for high beam.

What brands did you guys use? Where they plug-n-play? Where did you mount the balasts? Do you guys use high beams "all" the time? I don't think our lights have a high beam since I don't see the beam patter change, only difference I notice is one light versus two.

The high beam is very different. you will see when you get HIDs. i used XENONRIDER.com

yeah, i got'em.

6000k for low and 3500k for high beam.

Can you pst a night time picture with the high beam on? 3500k should be yellow/amber, correct?

I just stumbled across this site searching for headlight film. http://www.xtralights.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1335 It looks like it's "double" the price of the others but check out how small the ballast is (claims to be titanium, doubt it) and it comes with 4' of wire to mount in the seat trunk.

I did the xenonrider HID too, I think the brand name was goldeneye. They are the 8000K more bluish light and look great. They were fairly cheap compared with others because the balast box is the older big style. I have seen some slim balast sets that have boxes the size of cell phones for a bit more - probably worth it IMO.

I mounted my high beam box under the headlight (tight fit) and the low beam under the fuse box on the left side mid.

Ya i have the same 8000k and put my balasts in the same place. Those things are big but $169 for both is cheap!:rolleyes:
