put a set of 2ct's on my repsol was sick of the ****ty battlax's that it came with & they were pretty well rooted after 3500kms (yeah i know.. i ride like a sissy)

well on go the powers... always had a soft spot for them & always felt good on them

off on a ride sunday.. atm.. i have a fairly reckless disregard for life due to some medical issues so with this in mind & being able to enjoy the moment on a nice sunny day i went out for a hardcore thrashing on the repsol...

now... of course i was riding on closed roads & in controlled cirumstances (thats my legal disclaimer) hahahaha

the 2ct's like standard powers are rated to 270kmh.. but they seem to hold up exceptionally well past that point

pilot race compound on the sides so i knew they would be as sticky as tx repsol would be after spending a weekend with cowboy adam & would hold thru any corner

end result was

not even the slightest slide
no sign of cold tearing
no delamination due to excessive high speeds
the michelin man was on a suicide mission & has started to dissapear
easier & tighter cornering
better acceleration mid corner
confidence to push the bike to 20% of what it can do

highly reccomended for the blade

I have had them for a couple months and i think they are the best tires out there. the center strip wont flatten out as fast on the long highway trips either.

When I talked to those guys at Miller about pricing, it was gonna be cheaper on line. So i ended up buying them at my local shop. I think I paid $247 for both.:confused2: (I think)

Well HH I believe you. But then I did get a nasty bump on the head a few months back. One good thing I don't even give a crap about the stupid little things at work that use to make me OCD big time I just don't care:D

how many Km's HH. how much wear did you get on the edges.:confused2:
After a good spireted sprint chasing a Porche Turbo on Sat I think the old Bridgestones are due to meet their maker also.
So I was checking the two (2ct's & bt016) out on the weekend at a local dealler and a small argument broke out with a couple of chaps to which is better. Im even more confused.

usually within 1000kms i have scrubbed the michelin man off the side of the tires.. me... well i am lucky to get 5000 out of a set of tires with the way i ride (the law abiding way of course) 2ct are the tires i feel most comfortble with.. i just like the way the bikre responds with the,... some like bridgestone. i hate em... pirellis same again

HH

ps mike.. if i was doing straight line riding i wouldnt be running 2cts. i get the for the race compound edges.. i wear my edges out b4 the centres...

2ct 55's are the best tyres I have ridden. As HH said, confidence shoots up esp in the corners. I have never felt like they want to break away. The 55's fall into the corners! People say they do not have much stability at higher speeds, but I have not had a problem and in fact feel quite planted.

okay i have been a HUGE fan of the PPs...then the 2cts came out which i LOVED, then i tried the Road 2cts (not a fan!!).

BUT i may be considering the dark side the BT-016s are looking mighty tasty:D

now i am not as hard of a rider say as HH, but my lttle mich man is never intact when i get tires.

i think i will give the BT-016s a shot for the $239 shipped that i found and give some feed back (oh yeah i have BT-015s on one of the three bikes currently and they arent bad. we had a group ride with 10+ people all were on PPs except me and another guy with BT-016. long story short the BTs balled up rubber, where CTs gave the slight ripped look with little to no balling) dont get me wrong still love the PPs as they are on the other two bikes, so dont go slamming me yet, as that was only one test on a specific road and no control group for the test

I ride Dunlop Qualifiers. Not as sticky as the PP but definitly stable in the corners. I've take 45mph corners at 100-115mph and had not problems. Just make sure you have good throttle control and be smooth as possible.
