Cant help ya with this...I got a HJC.
Im interested in the Shoei RF-1000...that seems to fit my head properly.
Wish I snagged an Orange Picotte when I had the chance.![]()
havent had one like that but it sure is nice!!!
I have a AGV and I love the looks. The fit seems a little tight and short, like covering my chin area. May be my head shape, that is a huge thing. I have a Scorpion ex1000, Aria Hayden rx7, KBC,. Agv is the least comfy, but I would still own it. They make some bad ass looking lid's. Again try an AGV on somewhere to get a feel first.
I used to have a Repsol
I have the kbc repsol limited edition picked it up for 300.00 on ebay.I love this helmet it fits good and has good ventilation....I don't think its good for me to spend 500+ dollars on a lid, how much a difference is thier between a 300.00 lid oppose to those up at6-800.00?
I also seen a helmet which I thought was pretty funny was on a magazine where you could get a funny expression of you pictured on top of the helmett.but I think it was up for a contest
I have the Dream helmet and like it a lot. I also have the Suomy Spec-1R Biaggi helmet which is also good, but I like the AGV more. I think it's more quiet and fits better. It is a bit shorter than Suomy, but still covers my chin. The designs is just amazing!![]()
I sell these, Suomy, and Arai. To be honest outside of it being a Rossi Replica it isn't better made then a Suomy Spec 1R or a Arai Corsair. However as mentioned the Spec 1R and Corsair are noisy while the GP tech is quiet in comparison.
The interior is nice but a Spec 1R extreme and Corsair are even nicer. The top pads in the GP Tech are just odd and a lack of ear cut outs.
Shields for the helmet are the most affordable of the 3. This is a plus.
The non Rossi rep GP Techs are very underwhelming as Rossi paint schemes are the real allure to them. The Ti-Tech was a much better if not odd fitting helmet. Also GP Tech Rossi reps supper from horrible orange peel on the paint schemes.
That all being said if you found it for a good deal snag it but I wouldnt pay near what they wanted for it retail.
At 250 its a great deal.
AGV is a lower end helmet. I wore a few because they always had a helmet to match the Honda CBR600s for all of the 90's. You'll have to replace the pads after about 12-14 months, and wind noise will be on the noisier side. It's not a heavy helmet, but no feather either. For $250, I'd say it's a good deal but not a "must-have" at that price.
When the helmet gets about 8 months or older, any 100mph+ blast will smush your nose.(unless you replace the pads).
I'd say it's on par, maybe slightly lower than the Scorpian, except in wind noise. They're a little quieter than the Scorp.
2007 #142 RIP because a b!tch couldn't wait three more seconds to turn. FYI-Rene's Clear Clutch Cover holds up to a good, solid pancake hit to the pavement.
$250 new is a steal...........$250 used.....Hmmmmmmmm..........I would never buy a used helmet unless I knew the person really well and even then I would be careful.
Just my 2 cents.

A lot lighter than a Scorpion. Scorpions got a lot of cool features with vents and visors but, they're heavy. Don't know too much 'bout KBCs' and Shoeis' either but, know a lot of friends that have shoeis'. I have 2- Agv-XR-2s', 1-Agv T-Tec,4- Arai RX-7 Corsairs', & a Suomy Extereme.I love'm all...
Agv make quality helmets, Hell look who wears them... Valentino Rossi.
