Not to punt, but I saw a great thread over on that other site regarding aftermarket horn installs. It was a long thread...

I had one on one of my GSXR's. Installed it in my trunk...but that was back in 97 when sportbikes still had somewhat of a trunk.
I've been scratching my head as to where it would fit on my 07. |

The Stebel Nautilus is one noticeable horn. I don't know about location on a CBR, but on the VTX it fit's nicely and talk about making cagers wonder if a 18 wheeler is along side them. You will own your piece of asphalt.

maybe one of this?
Common guy.. How many times do you use your horn... Me personally 0 in 3 years....Except those times when i accidently touch it, and try to hide cuz its so embarrassing.... Now unless you hit your horn ever day on accident and cant stand the embarrassment then you should not need a horn.... |

I was in superautobacs and they had a set of horns that matched the size and had the same mount bracket but they didn't have it on display to hear and what do I do with the other one?
If you were to do air horns, the horns do not have to be in the same location. I know the Hella's I used on the CRX came with plenty of clear tube. I 'm sure you could find that tubing somewhere (fish store maybe) and mount the horns just in front of the headers (creatively).

Do me a favor...
Take a ride on the CROSS BRONX or the B.Q.E and then tell me if you need a horn. NY cabbies aim for bikes. Clutch and throttle work great. A good kick in the door even better. I want an airhorn... So go scratch. |
