Default GPR stabilizer

I know some of you guys were asking for some feed back on this.Ive had gpr stabilizers on 2 different 600's and loved em.I figured with this 1k having a stocker,It wouldnt be necessary.I did however find out the stock stabilizer
doesent always come in,when you need it.
I spend almost all my riding time in the mountains. When you do come upon elevation changes, and some switchbacks
the bike has a tendency to headshake pretty badly.I know another guy that totaled his suzuki 1k during a race at road atlanta, due to his not working properly.
The gpr mounts up pretty easily, but I have not shorted out the red light on the gauges yet,so that stays on.The gpr that I have is the older one.I just got a deal on it,so figured what the hell. The newer ones are smaller, and probably lighter,if I had to guess.
If you have never had a stabilizer installed on any of your previous bikes, you need to remember to back it off, when parking,or low speed riding. If you forget, and its dialed up too high, you will most likely drop your bike
I do like having it though, and you know its gonna work.I usually run mine on 5
this particular one is not as sensitive at lower setting as the other 2 Ive had.

heres some pics of the old,and the new one

I agree 100%. I also bought mine used and it was not very sensitive but sent it in to GPR and they rebuilt it for $25 and sent it back and it was like new. I leave mine on 3 and that is about perfect for all, unless im doing a high speed straight then i crank it up.

I like the product but it all seems too hard to be switching up and down the settings as required! Hey I'd be riding an automatic if they had one! LOL Im just slack, the stocker is enough for me!
