Warrior was an amazing movie. I was surprised by it, not expecting much, but it turned out to be a winner. Too bad Hollywood is a bunch of jackasses, because this film should get something as an award, if anything breaking a genre's preconceptions.

Kind of watched Paranormal Activity 3, but not really. It didn't hold my interest too much. I'll have to go back and watch it again, I guess.

Can't think of any other movies I have seen lately.

I did watch Being Human, the first season, and then I watched the UK Being Human and found that I enjoyed that more than the US version.

I hate how Hollywood takes a foreign movie from literally just a couple years ago, and decides to remake it. What the hell.....can't anyone read in this country anymore? They're just subtitles people

They did the same thing a few years ago with Let Me In which was also originally a Swedish movie called Let The Right One In. The original is one of my favorite movies and I simply refused to see the Hollywood version.

Speaking of The Girl With The/Who Played With/Who Kicked The/....blank, blank, blank.......hated those original movies. I think they were made for lesbians. I am not kidding.

Edit: Forgot to mention a movie I saw on dvd recently called Tsotsi. It's from South Africa I believe.....an interesting different type of story and superb lead actor. I thought it was really good.

From what I have read, the other movies that were made were nothing like the books. The one that was just recently brought out in theatres was actually more true to the book, versus the apparent soft core porn that were the other movies.

That movie was AMAZING!!!! Another great and less known movie "Green St. Hooligans". A few years old, not really a "feel good movie" but who likes those. Speaking of not a feel good movie, anyone see "Buried"?
Bad news, its open season on chumps and I just got my permit.

    Anyone see the following?

    1. Real Steel
    2. Killer Elite
    3. The Ides of March
    4. Rise Of The Planet of the Apes

Saw MI4, it was pretty good, total action all the way through. Not much "actiing" from Tom Cruise but the support cast was a real treat!

I've seen Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Really well done, and prompted a weekend of Apes movies.

Killer Elite, nice entertainment. I liked the Apes a lot. Haven't seen the other two yet.

Oh ok, well in that case I can see the quick remake. Yeah it was a lez fest for sure. I was actually watching it with my mom.....I am now scarred for life lol.

But ironically I caught Let Me In the other night on t.v. (the one I refused to pay for in the theater) and it was a damn near shot for shot remake of the Swedish version. The few shots they changed weren't as good as the original and felt more like the director changed them just to be able to say it wasn't an exact remake. I liked the kid actors in the American version as well. Not as good as the original but still very good.

Then just yesterday I went out and saw Flowers of War. It's about the Japanese occupation of Nan King, China. All I needed to know was that Christian Bale was in it and I was sold. It did not disappoint....very good film imo. Be warned though, its a tear jerker......I could hear people crying all around me.

Then later last night I finally rented the classic Chinatown. That's some damn good writing right there! And it looks like it could've been made in the last 10 years. Props to the DP and Gaffer for that. Highly recommend it.

If you liked Green Street you need to watch the Football Factory.

Rise of the Footsoldier, the violence goes a bit further than Green Street. I liked GS more.

Sherlock Homes: A Game of Shadows

Got to be in the top 5 of movies I've ever seen.

Can't remember the last time I wanted to stand up and clap and cheer at the end of a movie like I did this one.

If you liked the first one, this one is far superior.
