I just picked up an 04 RC51 Nicky Hayden Edition...

Has 14xxx miles on it and a set of Sato racing cans...

This weeks project:
rebuild forks
change oil
add KnN air filters
New Battery
and tightening up all nuts/bolts etc..

First time with a V Twin and one that rivaled Suzuki's TLR1000 at that......

Well the Corbin seat is nice on longer rides. The Kyle Racing Suspension linkage really make a difference. I have a Power Commander with Two brothers carbon cans. Rear sets are nice as well. So much you can do to these beast...the sound they make at high rpm is simply music.

For safety get the mirrors and some Sato sliders all around. You are going to love that RC bro...also you don't see many around.

I forgot to mention that it has a pc3. Not sure if it's mapped though.
I've got some 2008 CBR mirrors that I was going to upgrade on my Repsol.
Wonder if my OEMs will fit this.

Also why did you go with the Sato sliders and not say Shoguns or any others?

It had the Sato when I purchased it so I went ahead and got the Sato spools to complete the set. Flush the cooling system and brake fluid. Use water weter cause these beast run hot. If your oh with the stock seat then your golden...again the Corbin worked wonders for me.

The RC is heavy but once you get up to speed it just handles nicely and holds its line. The torque coming out of turns is simply awesome.

Again...your going to love this bike!

Did you chsbge the plugs and if so what did you put in?
Read about the NGKs iridiums or something like that.

Kept the NGK's that were on the bike....I am on the RC51 forum and the stuff those guys do is INSANE! BTW, I have SATO rearsets as well and hot bodies tail....I think I'll take it out on a ride today...it's nice and sunny today
