Enjoy the bike and forum. Excellent choice! Suggest geting suspension adjusted for yourself.
Going back there for vacation next month. Where are you located?

How should I go about getting the suspension setup? Pretty clueless when it comes to that. I am in the Brooklyn / Irish hills area.

I'll be in that exact neighborhood on August 5th thru 13th, riding this.
Suggest web searching for Dave Bowman, etc. Call ahead to make sure they work on your suspension. There are exclusive dirt bike shops too! $40, 20 minutes, your weight and type of riding (twisties!) and you'll be riding the lightest, quickest and most powerful Repsol of 2009.
    Pm'd phone number,text me.

Got a couple new helmets today. Have to say I am very impressed with this one. Got it on closeout for cheap. This thing shell wise is so small and lite.

    Congratulations on your new Repsol.

First and foremost, let me say I am extremely jealous but at the same time I am very happy for you.

I currently don't have a Repsol, but the 2009 model is my absolute favorite. I have a sentimental attachment to the 2009 model. Why? Let's start with I have been a Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa and Nicky Hayden fan since they moved up to MotoGP and signed with HRC Repsol Honda. Dani Pedrosa won at Laguna Seca in 2009. Laguna Seca is a home track for me. 2009 is when I really got into the Repsol bikes, and bought (3) 1:6 models and every Pedrosa and Nicky Hayden 1:18 Repsol bikes I could find. I met Pedrosa at the Repsol Honda tent in 2010 and he signed one of my 1:6 2009 Repsol Honda models. When I buy a Repsol (and I will) it will be the 2009. And my wife knows that.

Sorry to rant on your thread, I just had to share. Lol. Again, congratulations and great choice! As always, ride safe!

No appologies needed. Thats awesome man. I hope you get one soon.
I had always wanted one. They just seemed out of my reach. I actually had just purchased a GSXR1000 the month previous. But thru a random craigslist search i came across this one a little outside of Chicago. I called the guy and talked to him a bit. Everything sounded too perfect to be true, i made him an offer and he accepted. Made the 5 hour drive to go see it and pick it up. i was not disappointed when i got there!!! I couldnt wait on selling the GSXR to get this bike so i just bought it and figure i would sell the Suzuki later. It was too good to pass up for sure. Still cant believe i was able to pick it up for what i did.

I'm diggin' all this '09 love!!! It's good to have more supporters here!! But mostly because it'll piss off the '07 ilk!!! (who will be along soon enough with their nonsense....) But we're faster than them and they know it!!! And I'm the biggest Pedrosa fan on the forum!!!!

Guess I can chime in being an owner of The Magnificent 07 I really don't care what people ride, as long as they ride. It's all about 2 wheels and 1 love. Bikes! Especially the orange ones! Hated Dani til I read an article after Nicky passed away that a reporter published about his convo with Nicky. He spoke to him and stated he said 'Dani crashed me, yes, he did. But he was going for the win just as we all were. He made a mistake. But, when it came down to it, he let me pass him so I could win the championship and he knew he couldn't. After the race I told him thank you and if the day came, I would help him win the title.'

    2 wheels, 1 love.

    Ride safe bro!

And if you think an 09 guy and an 07 guy can't get along. Here's more proof. Our beloved rockstar Dave called me while I was going home for the night after qualifying on Saturday at Indy. Offered me a free ticket to ride the GP track at Indy. Of course I accepted. I went home and grabbed my bike and met home at the track. We hung out all weekend and made new friends and seen old ones. Dave rocks! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6cad1b9e0f.jpg
