Default IS that it for the Repsol Edition CBR?

Do they plan on making any new livery of the Repsol Edition?

Anyone here have anyone in the higher ups that's in the know? OR why they stopped?

I've been patiently waiting and still nothing...

    With Honda, who really knows?

I've seen two custom ones done by dealers on the internet.

First one is by Hunts Motorcycles in the UK:

Maybe they're going to debut the new V4 superbike in Repsol colors. One could dream.

That indeed would be a dream!

I've had a Harley Forty Eight, a Ducati 959, and about to get another Harley Forty Eight... i LOVE them for the size and how much like a sport bike feeling it gives.

Actually the last real Repsol was 2015. Honda has never made at 1000cc Respol in an even numbered model year. My sources at HRC and Honda USA ae being very tight lipped about if there will be another Reppie. So who knows......

Oops, I was wrong. The Repsol Livery was available in 2016 on the CBR 1000RR SP only.

It's ok Dave, i still got love for ya though, my fellow 09'er... the sun never sets...
The only reason i knew the 16 was indeed the last year is because i almost bought the SP out by me, but i waited for the redesign and was disappointed not only in performance, but looks as well, as well as no repsol.

I was also disappointed that there's been no Repsol since the redesign. I looking to pick up a new Reppie. My '09 has close to 50,000 miles on it now and I wanted to let it live out it's days on the track. I haven't had a chance to ride the new bike yet. I thought it was supposed to a step up? What did you find disappointing about the performance?

The fact that it's pretty much the same motor with the same mediocre power deliver as it's been since 2008...
It's sad when the R1 not even the M version... outperforms the CBR. The R1M is just insane... so are BMW's obviously.
I rode the new CBR and it feels like the Ducati 959 has more performance sadly. I just didn't enjoy the new look but same ole' ride as before. I was expecting a little more power through the mid and high range, but it's the same almost as the previous versions... very sad.

Wow, didn’t want to hear that.
There'd have been some serious buyer remorse along with loud screaming, then hollering, morphing into a continuous whine if all I bought was a electronified Repsol SP!

I told my dealer I'd buy one in Repsol colors and am glad it didn't work out.

The look doesn't really thrill me either. I thought perhaps it would look better as a Repsol
2015 Repsol SP,Sato lever guards,HRC reservoir socks,Tech Spec clear tank pads,4x Go Pro mounts,Shorai battery,Shock recall completed,Repsol Hugger,R&G Ti radiator guard, frame and f/r axle sliders, tail tidy,Motobriiz chain luber,Rene/FP Racing rear caliper relocator bracket in BK Camo. 2013 Red Fury for a daily driver.

I didn't want to hear it either until i rode it and i was super disappointed. Sure it felt brand new and fast out of the gate, but that's because it's new, once that wears off, and you get used to the bike it's basic and mediocre at best. I raced it against an R1 regular version and it got smoked... never have i gotten beat stock for stock on a honda with a yamaha.
It's a rude awakening for Honda, which is why they're pushing that V4 to go in the street bikes rather than their unobtainable V4 RC213S which was a stupid attempt by them.

I'm hoping for big things coming up... but i won't hold my breath. I loved my Repsol, but i want a refresh and something NEW, EXCITING.. so far Yamaha has delivered.

    V4 Repsol! Now you're talking.
Only thing with that is, I really like my drivers license! If it's the usual usable/rideable/quiet Honda bike, OK.

I've wanted an Aprilia V4 since they first came out and even though I see my shop changing engines on what seems like every one sold, I've never lost my interest. They let me take one for a test drive, which lasted about two hours, after taking it to the house, showing it where it was going to be parked and struggling back to the shop hitting every light on the side streets with a tall first gear and riding around in third because it would lug the engine In fourth at 40 mph. Feeling that thump, thump, thump at take off and hearing the wonderful symphony after that was motorcycling joy. I may not have come back if I took it to the mountain twisties and got to hear it at full throated roar!

Yup, I really like my drivers license!
