    Thanks Macman,

    Nice bike!

The ad for the CBR is still up, at 7K.

    I'm looking at a few locally: 03 Suzuki Katana 600F, 05 Suzuki GSXR750, 06 Kawasaki ZZR600, 12 Yamaha FZ6R 600R. Some options.

I still have to sell my bike first.

One thing I've learned in my short life of 38 years is to never settle on what you really want. If you want a real Repsol 1000, then I believe it's worth it to wait around until you find one that fits your criteria. I drove 3 hours to go pick mine up.

I will say, that sometimes it's okay to pay a bit more for something that you really want, especially since your options are rather limited from what you've explained.

    Buy Thrasher's bike....

    All true.

Thrasher's bike is double my budget, and that, combined with the shipping and paperwork crossing the border, make it a tough sell. I'm not in a hurry, so I'll just keep looking.

I gotcha man. I really only suggested Thrasher's in jest, though considering the mods and the low mileage it really is a good deal. Sucks that you would have to pay additional import fees and taxes though.

Personally I would wait. Keep in mind that low mileage examples are going to be up there in price. So while you wait, might as well stash away some extra funds.

No, Thrasher's bike looks amazing. If it was in Canada, I would consider it!

I did contact a dealership in Toronto, about 8 hours away. I asked them to watch for a Repsol, and contact me if they get one. They should be able to ship between dealerships. I figure it is safer using dealerships as I'll have a PPI done there first. We'll see. I wouldn't feel comfortable buying, sight unseen, from a private seller.
